Beaulieu of American is considered to be the 3rd largest carpet manufacturing company in the world, with Beaulieu carpet originating 22 years ago in North America from Roger de Clerck’s development. Part of his success was the processing methods--of raw materials, from the oil refinery to the fiber extrusion to plastic and polymer production to the manufacturing of carpet and rug yarn. This led to the best price on Beaulieu carpet, which added to its successful future growth in Beaulieu carpets, Hollytex carpet by Beaulieu, Beaulieu carpet tile, and Beaulieu Iceflow carpet.

In the year 1981, the first Beaulieu carpet line was first built in Stratford, Canada concentrating on the design of a woven polypropylene Oriental rug designs. In 1990, Coronet Carpets who was known as the 2nd largest Canadian carpet manufacturer, joined with Beaulieu Manufacturing becoming Coronet Canada. This helped promote Beaulieu as a major leader in carpet industry as Coronet was a leader in multi-color dying, one of the first carpet mills to use nylon fiber in a solid shade saxony carpet.

Today in Dalton and Chatsworth, Georgia, Beaulieu Commercial is an established carpet manufacturing company, with another company in Bridgeport, Alabama. Beaulieu America carpet samples can be found in these areas, with the Beaulieu carpet mill here a main Beaulieu Berber carpet wholesaler. The southern states of the United States, specifically in Georgia, has four of the world’s largest carpet companies here, with seven of the 14 largest US carpet companies—Shaw, Mohawk, Beaulieu, Interface, Milliken, J&J, and Collins & Aikman Floorcoverings. 80% of these industries lie within a 65-mile radius of Dalton.

A couple of the top Beaulieu carpet designs are: the Laura Ashley carpet line which is the most colorful and recognizable carpet line with high styling and contemporary color lines; and Hollytex by Beaulieu which is used by interior decorators as Beaulieu developed it to be price competitive with carpet mass production. Beaulieu carpet manufactures a broadloom carpet, in addition to a medium-priced under Cambridge labels, high-priced carpet under the Bolyu labels, with needlepoint floor covering under the Murray Fabric labels and related divisions.

Being the first carpet company to recognize how important color is, with eight to twelve colors the palette prior to this. With Coronet Canada and Beaulieu’s joining, a 24-color process was introduced into the carpet world. When these new colors and designs would come out, other carpet retail manufacturers would buy Beaulieu carpet samples for their own showrooms. These new colorful cut-n-loop carpet products were copied at many other carpet manufacturers throughout the world.
